revisiting an old favorite

TWELFTH AVENUETWELFTH AVENUETWELFTH AVENUETWELFTH AVENUESweater: Urban Outfitters. Denim: J Brand. Sunnies: Gucci. Boots: Madewell (sold out, but similar here and here). Bag: A.P.C. (similar). Watch: Burberry.

When was the last time you visited an Urban Outfitters? I hadn’t been there in a very long time until last weekend, when my friend Olivia and I went home decor shopping on Portland’s NW 23rd Avenue. After scoring two beautiful vintage pendant lights at my favorite home store, Manor, we ventured further south toward the Pottery Barn/Restoration Hardware/World Market end of 23rd. That was when we spotted our old favorite, Urban Outfitters.

Like I said, I hadn’t shopped Urban Outfitters in a very long time – so long, in fact, that I didn’t realize they got rid of their home section until I was spinning circles in the store looking for it. We quickly redirected toward the racks on racks of clearance clothing items. Thumbing through the rails, I fell in love all over again with their ironic graphic print tees, vintage style dresses and cheap denim. Then I spotted this comfy grey sweater on sale for ten dollars. It’s a size large, but when something cute is that cheap, I make it work.

Are you an Urban Outfitters fan? Any other favorite stores from back in the day that you’ve been revisiting? Since they don’t have home stuff in store, I’ve been shopping UO’s Apartment section online lately – got my eye on a mint green dining chair and a blanket ladder.

I love a good sale find! Urban always has amazing deals but their clothes never seem to fit me well or flatter my figure 🙁 This sweater is lovely on you, though! And no one would ever guess it was only $10!
