Have you heard of coloring as a form of stress relief? A few months ago, I read an article that claimed “coloring can actually help adults combat stress.” (Okay, I only read the headline. Probably too busy/stressed to read the whole article. Ha.) I mentioned it to Phil and totally forgot about it, so I was pleasantly surprised when he gave me a coloring book and colored pencils for Christmas. I’ve been super stressed out with work lately, which he obviously noticed, and I appreciated his thoughtful gesture to help relieve some of my anxiety. The other night, I pulled it out and colored in a few pages. I found it quite relaxing to just sit and color with little more concern than staying inside the lines.
