clarklewis is one of my favorite dining spots in Portland. You can always trust the menu to offer fresh ingredients, the dining room to be intimately lit and the open kitchen to be bustling with activity – which is why I’m so excited to see Kyo Koo’s name on the lineup for Feast Portland. You can catch him Saturday, September 21st at Pioneer Square for the Oregon Bounty Grand Tasting.

Feast Portland is the flagship food and drink festival in the Pacific Northwest. Feast showcases local culinary talent and Oregon ingredients, alongside nationally recognized chefs and influencers during a four-day celebration. Make sure to check it out September 19-22.

Koo is a Portland native who started his career in Los Angeles at Rockenwagner, and then moved to Spain to work for chef Andoni Aduriz in the Basque country. Returning to Seattle after a transformative year in Spain, Koo joined Ethan Stowell at Union. He has been at clarklewis since 2008 and continues to drive the seasonally driving cooking at the restaurant.

There is so much to see and taste at this year’s event, don’t miss out! Most of the brunch and dinner series I was interested in are sold out (Greg Higgins, Pok Pok at Home, Cathy Whims and Stephanie Izard to name a few), but I’ve been eyeing Beer Breakdown and Homemade Condiments as possible options to attend.
