Seriously, this weekend couldn’t have been more stormy, gross, grey, windy, rainy, wet…

…which is why these pictures were taken indoors and kind of blurry at that. Ick. Where you at beautiful fall weather, where you at? These coated jeans have been folded away in my closet not getting much love, but recently I hung them a bit differently and started wearing them more often. Have you ever done that? Rearranged something in your closet and then realized there was so much potential?

Allen told me no normal person stood with their feet crossed like you see me standing above, which made me laugh out loud and then lose my outfit picture concentration.

old-fashioned cake doughnut

Cake Doughnut l TWELFTH AVENUE Is it sad that anytime I go to write out old-fashioned cake doughnut, I have to look up the spelling (is it sad that I write this often enough to think about the spelling? Don’t answer that). I’m never sure if it’s donut or doughnut. Well, mystery solved, the dictionary-approved spelling for the ring-shaped cake made of dough and fried is doughnut. I’m sure that puts you at ease.

Maybe you have come to expect a deliciously easy breakfast, lunch or dinner idea every Friday here on the old blog, but today, it’s a cake doughnut brought to you by Starbucks. I’m sorry. It’s been one of those weeks that has just slipped away and I can’t say I’m upset about the fact that it’s almost over. Anyone have fun plans for the weekend?

I’m trying out Broder for Natalie’s very belated birthday brunch tomorrow morning, and then hunkering down for some much needed deep cleaning of the apartment. Allen is finally home from travel, so I can put that boy to work. Happy weekend to you!

Well it sure does feel good to be back. If you  haven’t stopped by in awhile, you may not know what I’m referring to, but this is the first time I’ve showed my face around these parts in weeks. Eek.

I have had this dress in my closet for almost two years, holy has it been that long? Anyways, I’ve worn it one time, but always felt the need to keep it because it felt so simply classic. I really like how the leather jacket tied around the waist edges it up a bit with the simple black bootie and bare legs. I’m going to show these bare legs for as long as I can before I have to cover them for the next 9-months. Help.

So, without further adieu…
