wedding guest

Between now and the end of August, the Twelfth Avenue team will collectively attend three weddings, so it goes without saying (but we’re saying it anyway!) that we’ve had wedding guest fashion on the brain. Picking a dress to wear to a wedding when you’re not the bride or her ‘maid can be tricky – white, or any variation thereof, is outlawed, excessive displays of skin are generally frowned upon (“Hi So-and-so’s grandma, have you met my cleavage?”), and invitation dictated location/time of day/dress code all come into play. And let’s not forget that half of the weddings we attend in our twenties are big high school/college reunions, so there are plenty of ex-boyfriends to impress. (Not that we ever think about that.) In navigating this fine line of appropriate wedding guest fashion, we’ve hand-picked 15 dresses from the hundreds thousands hundreds of thousands of dresses out there in the e-commerce world that would be suitable for three common venues. Peruse our picks below, and let us know what you’ll be wearing this wedding season.
