Warning: photo dump of my first experience at Coachella this past weekend, I apologize ahead of time if you have heard enough, but doin it anyways.
The weekend was thrilling and exhausting all at once, but an experience I will never forget. I have the best of friends.
Our lineup included 2 Chainz, Band of Horses, Benny Benassi, Bingo Players, Dog Blood, Earl Sweatshirt, Eric, Prydz, Fedde La Grand, Hardwell, Infected Mushroom, Janelle Monae, Jurassic 5, Knife Party, La Roux, Major Lazer, Nicky Romero, Passion Pit, Phoenix, Pretty Lights, Chili Peppers, Tanlines, Tegan and Sara, The Lumineers, Thomas Gold, Two Door Cinema Club and Wu-Tang Clan.
We started our Saturday at the Lacoste Pool Party where I met the one and only, Leandra Medine of Man Repeller. She is terribly witty, intelligent and a trailblazer for all bloggers, if you don’t know, now you know.
The party was held a few minutes from the festival grounds at an old Palm Desert estate. With a sprawling pool, pond and horse stable, the grounds were impressive to say the least. We had fresh flower headdresses made and enjoyed habanero tequila popsicles. I could have spent the better half of my day at the party, but we had people to see, music to enjoy.
It was a little bittersweet taking in our last day. I wish I could be a kid more often.
