packed up

I am joining my family in Palm Desert next week, and couldn’t be more excited for some sunny, warm weather and relaxation. I am headed to China today for work, so I had to start the packing process earlier than normal, but who are we kidding, I’m usually packed days in advance to my departure anywhere.

I only brought one bag for my work trip and vacation, so I had to think in layers and versatile pieces.

  1. As completely nerdy as it might be, I make a list of things I need and want to bring, so I have plenty of time to plan tailoring, laundry and shopping 🙂
  2. Always pick pieces that can be worn more than once, it’ll save space for your long haul.
  3. Pack a light jacket or sweater, no matter what climate you are heading to. You never know when the weather can change on you.
  4. Last but certainly not least, roll your clothes to save space (and decrease wrinkle). People are sometimes shocked to see what comes out of my carry on because of this tactic.

Do I have a J.Crew addiction you ask? Yes, yes I do.
